    Well, that was different.

    I just saw a non-American fighter jet fly over. That makes the 2nd one I've seen in about 6 months. I imagine they came from Barksdale AFB.

      I'm not versed well enough to know. It had an older MIG look to it. I'm currently looking on the webz to see if I can pinpoint it.

        what is "non-American"? I know we give alot of equipment to other countries so even the "American" jets may not be flown by "Americans".

          I can actually pick out American models. I recognize those. This one had really narrow wings.

          There was also a lack of American signage.

            A MIG 21 looks real close to what I saw, but the nose is different.

              Sounds like it could be a jet from the Aggressor Squadron, but I thought that was based out of Nellis. They use real foreign aircraft for training purposes, but they are piloted by american pilots.

              I am just going out on a limb here to say that it probably was not a real foreign plane, piloted by a foreign pilot, without some kind of US escort somewhere.

              But hey, I wasn't there so it is all speculation on my part.

                There are a couple Migs based in Lancaster and Addison I believe. Probably some in houston. So you probably saw one of them flying around.

                    I figured it was some type of training plane. It wasn't equipped with weaponry. They were both pretty low, though. I was able to see the pilot on both occasions.

                      Unless you're worried about China, the Red Dawn days are pretty much over. Still, for anyone who was alive during the Reagan years, the thought of a Russian bomber swooping within 100 miles of California is a bit disconcerting.

                              Only jets stationed here are A-10s and B-52H's. It is possible that it stopped here for fuel/night tho.
