Originally posted by CJ View PostThat's what everyone said every time it has been tried. The way our government and electoral college works you can't just start a party and hope to have primaries. The only way it realistically works is if a candidate who doesn't get the nomination for their party breaks off and forms their own party (like Ron Paul was threatening). And then you split that party's votes and they lose. It isn't rocket science. That's why no one does it. It's far easier to clean house. I know it sounds great but it isn't realistic.
