Screw that Care Now crap. I thought I was coming down with the flu a couple of weeks ago and couldn't get in to my regular doctor that day, so I showed up at a Family Healthcare Associates off Green Oaks and Cooper that does after hours first come first serve. After hours starts at 5pm. I showed up at 4pm and was the only one there, so I got number 1. Filled out my paperwork and saw a doctor (a real doctor, not a nurse practitioner) by 5:15. By 5:00 they were handing out numbers in the 60's and it was standing room only. Turned out not to be the flu, but if I ever need to see a doctor after hours, FHA will be my go to place. Oh, and the pharmacy at the Kroger on Pleasant Ridge and Green Oaks sucks out loud and they can all kiss my ass.

They've needed a good Manager in that place for awhile. A girl I knew in high school worked there in the video department and would sell us beer at her counter. Good times!

I was out for the count on New Years Eve. Woke up at 6am and slept most of the day. Was miserable for the short time I was up throughout the day, but felt almost 100% better the next day aside from a case of bronchitis that I'll get checked out next week if still not fully healed.

No shit. We remind them how things used to be every time we're in there. Yeah, the chics that worked the video counter were alright. Hell, I married one.

I only got out of bed to shit and piss, between Saturday and Monday. I came in yesterday, and was back in bed by 3:00. I'm about to head back to the house again.

I have not been to the doc, but I don't think I have the flu. I haven't had a fever, or stomach/shits issues at all. It's all respiratory and sinus infection/headaches.

My doc told me not to assume anything about flu this year. Everyone is getting it, shot or not, and the symptoms arent "normal flu"

Not that there is anything you can do about it, but might be contagious.

There were a couple of chics there worth looking at. One had huge jugs, so that wasn't a terrible thing. The doctor I saw correctly diagnosed what I had, wrote me scripts, and urged me to do a follow up with my regular doctor. No telling what it's going to cost me, but the experience was favorable.

My wife was sick New Year's Eve, so we didn't do anything, I started getting sick a few days later but was able to power thru it with only a low fever.

The flu shot was for type A & it's the damn type B that's kicking everyone's ass. My fertility doc made me get both the flu & pneumonia shots this year since the embryo transfer is on Jan 18th & I still got the upper respiratory crap & had to take a round of antibiotics & cough meds. Definitely sucked ass.

People think they'll get the flu, therefore, they do.

Has it not felt cold outside at all since yesterday? I was wearing shorts and short sleeved shirt in 40* weather and it didn't phase me. Same thing today, it's probably the lack of sleep though that's making me feel lethargic. My son had the flu two weeks ago and im getting paranoid about getting it myself.

I say this every year. Get tha mother freakin shot! I got the flu every year of my entire life till 15 years ago when I started getting the shot. I have gotten it once since then, and it was very mild.

Its 25/30 bucks for the shot, or a week or two out of work feeling miserable. Simple choice really...
