  • Flu season.....

Note to anyone who needs to go to Care Now for possible flu symptoms...

Utilize the web check in on the Care Now website if at all possible. You can check in and be miserable at the place of your choosing until they call you to come in. I originally went to the Minute Clinic by my house only to find out that they were not taking new patients. Care Now was the next closest that I knew of and I had to wait over 2 hours before they saw me.

Monday - woke up sore throat and coughing, felt ok though
Tuesday - worse sore throat, more coughing, felt ok for the most part
Tuesday afternoon - chills set in at noon, 105 fever by time they finally fit me in at 6:15

Our Dallas branch had 3 of the 5 drivers call in sick today. Looks like it might be going around.

Glad I only got the light version last week that is going around. Aside from some minor drainage I'm pretty much about 95% back. It did put me on my ass for a few days though.

I had it last week, the care now on S Cooper was on a 7 hour wait. Tested positive for the flu, even though I didnt have the normally associated cold type symptoms.

Idk if that's what I have, I was fine all day yesterday till around 7pm then a fever hit me, I went to sleep around 8 and woke up about 11 with my chest hurting and ears hurting, could not sleep all night after that. Every time I woke up I was sweating and with my teeth hurting

And they keep promoting the flu shot. Fucking shot isnt working this year. We are essentially forced to get the flu shot at work being we deal with sick patients. We had to have them by Sept 1. There has been 5 people out with influenza A that all got the damn shot.

Whiskey, water, good food, and rest. It'll take a week, but it works. Double up on the whiskey.

I had to drive around Texas doing work so I wrapped up to sweat it out and drank a shitload of water. And ate high protein meals. Took 3 days but after that I was good. And most of all... sucked it the fuck up! But I don't get paid if I don't work so that's why.

I've had mono twice now (2003 and 2008). I trade it for the flu in a heartbeat. Took me months to feel normal again both times. I think I have the immune system of a 80 year old

I thought I had mono once for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored.

I had that shit back when I was 18. Lost 24 pounds in three weeks. I'm with you, I'll take the flu any day.
