  • cheap place to buy a silver chain?

for a necklace. need something that will work as a necklace. I know a place that has one with a correct length and diameter for what im putting on it but I don't want the cross it comes with. I have zero experience buying jewelry and don't want to get screwed over by zales or some jewelry store. stainless steel would would too if its shiny and made for the application, im sure I would like SS's price better too.

He's a Texas based Christian jeweler. There are James Avery stores all over DFW, but you may want to start out with Lifeway or Mardel. They have a pretty good selection of crosses and chains for a decent price.

never heard of mardel, been to lifeway and found a chain I liked but it comes with a cross I don't like so I didn't want to waste it if I didn't have too. thanks.

The cross i wear hangs from a heavy duty silver chain from James Avery. It is less than $100 and it holds up well. If you want to go the cheap route, just get a dog tag chain from any army surplus store.
