  • Big thanks to our board member 89gt5oh (car hookup)

Well, most of you guys probably dont know Ryan (89gt5oh) has the hookup over at Bankston/Auto Nation. He can get cars/trucks from anywhere in their inventory at any dealership. He did me a big favor on getting into a F250. The F250 was down in Houston at Champion Ford and he was able to sell it to me from his Nissan dealership in Lewisville.

Anyways, if you guys are looking for a vehicle, check him out. He got me about $1000-1500 more for my F150 in trade than other dealerships were willing to do. Most of my deal was worked out over PM's and text messages. Then I showed up, signed some paperwork and I flew down to Houston to pick up the truck (delivery to his dealership was an option, but I didnt want to wait as I had the weekend off and flew with airline miles)

Ryan was a great help (he is a manager) and this really was THE easiest car deal I have ever done. I have bought from a few board sponsored dealers here as well as other car salesman here and this car deal with Ryan was way easier and faster than anything else.

now to possibly work on a trade for the fiance's Mini Cooper S...

Congrats on the new purchase. It seems most of the times dealerships make the deal on the trade in alone. They all offer the same discounts/rebates. If I had seen this a week ago I would have checked him out. I ended up buying from Mac Haik... they were able to get me $6000 more for my trade in than dealerships who advertise on here. The price of the car had the same msrp at both dealerships and with the discounts the price of the car was the same (except the dealership that advertises here wanted an extra $300 for tint). So it came down to the trade in only.

Yea, their first offer at Mac Haik was 3500 more than the other dealership but I was not happy with that. When I said I will just sell it myself and come back later they got me what I needed. Between what they gave me for it and the tax benefit of the trade in... I was within $500 dollars of what I thought I could honestly sell it for myself. So to avoid the hassle od dealing with people I just traded it. I am glad I did too because the discounts and rebates this month are not near as good.
