It is kinda cool, for commuter car that you could park anywhere. If you replaced 10,000 miles / year on a truck that got 17mpg with this it would pay for its self in just a couple of years between fuel and depreciation savings.

I'm oddly fascinated with this car.

I was uncertain but once I saw A/C was included for $6800 you can put me down. This car is going to take over has a commuter/first car. Guy complaining about safety have to know this is far and away safer than a motorcycle. I figure it will pay for itself in a year and a half just for the trips I take by myself when I don't really need my 15 mpg F250.
Speaking of which, how can this be half the price of a decent motorcycle. Hell and polaris razr is substantially more without heat/air/power window.

Besides, would you pay $10,000 for this car? I wouldn't and these folks are basically trying to get to a similar market as the VW bug did.
Cheap, reliable, economical transportation.

Think about this though. My Bad Boy mower was $6k. The replacement kawasaki engine is $2k. I know they get a discount due to bulk buying, but I don't see how that price point is attainable.
The mower is a handful of parts by comparison and Bad Boy is capable of producing 200 mowers a day.

Once they hit the streets, then I'll drive one and decide if I get it. Then try my damnedest not to have Brooks put a turbo on it. :-D

Im playing devil's advicate there, I dont see it either. I hope that they can though. I remember reading about the cars that Nissan, Toyota, etc were selling in Indonesia and other imerging markets would be about 5-6k us if we could get them here.
