Was someone shooting steel? I got a piece of a copper jacket at the Shoot Smart range GTG last year. Hit me right in the chest.

I was getting peppered off and on all night long by tiny pieces of metal when they were shooting at the metal targets.

Yep, I got 2 or 3, and Matt(?) and several others were complaining of the same. Metal targets, they can be a bitch at an indoor range. The one piece of copper that hit and stuck above my shooting glasses was smoking. That one kinda sucked.

Yeah, I wondered if you knew him. We had several classes together through the years at Wood and Boles. Good kid. The Forensic Files actually did a Program on what happened back in the 90's called The Magic Bullet.

lol, this just reminded me.....and anyone that was a Marine can tell you all about this. I remember being in the pits pulling the targets and fucking ricochets would go everywhere. The sides of the target holders are steel and those rounds go ping pinging all over the place!

My father was there when that kid died. Dad used to shoot plate comps and said it was a mad house.
