Good choice on telling her no. So what if they're mad at you, they'll get over it. Hell, tell them that DAD said no.

FWIW I've lended vehicles, job leads, thousands of dollars, etc to family members when they've "needed it", nothing good has come from any of it, and I don't think I've got a thank you ever. In return I've got maybe $400 back, a few damaged vehicles, and I'm still the "instigator" of arguments according to some of my family. I can't win. It's no wonder why I spent Christmas on the beach in California with no family!!!

My truck sits at my parents house while I'm deployed, and my sister doesn't have a vehicle. I have a feeling she is the same way as your sister, she asked to borrow it and since she takes care of nothing, smokes in vehicles, and has never driven a lifted truck(besides mine when I was with her on a dirt road) based on that I told her no, it was sitting at the house and no one was driving it.
I don't blame you for your decision, I would do the same.

I think they try to help how THEY think they need help, whether that's right or wrong. I mean I would feel like shit if my sister actually lost the one job she likes and plans on keeping. But now I'll be the reason she lost it, and they'll both hate me if it happens.
