I slightly snug with an impact, then use a torque wrench to torque them to 98 lbs. Let me tell you , that does not feel like much torque. But the truck will ride a hell of a lot better. Over torquing will bend the wheels. Once you bend them, they are fucked.

In most cases, non of that applies in the real world for the average Driver.
No but it is a truck and appearantly is a POS. The frame test show a lack of quality and craftsmanship. Toyota can make some solid vehicles hell, I'd love to pick up a 2002ish LX470 for a daily but they are hard to finance.

If the wheels are really that picky and will just bend because of torquing, the video showing the lack of quality and structural integrity is verified.

Do you really need the tundra? I find the Tacoma is great for most people. I love mine, been able to use a car hauler and handle everything I have thrown at it. My dad has the quad cab and it still feels just as new and tight with 120k as it did off the lot.

Heard the honda and toyota trucks don't stack up to the 'merican brands in terms of towing capacity and over all strength. Don't know how much truth there is to all that though.

The Tacoma is damn near the same price used. For a grand or so more, we get a LOT more interior room. The back seat is really why she wants it. And we can use the power rear window year round in Cali, love that feature.

I don't know what you are talking about ... I paid just under 20k for my 2008 TRD Sport Tacoma access cab with 36k miles. I bought it 6 months ago or so.

They must be higher in Cali. The price differences between the two are negligible. I guess peeps out here don't want big V8 motors. The nice Tacomas I've found are 90% the cost of a Tundra.

The Tacoma holds is value better IMO ... I also think it is a much better truck.

I agree. Just not big enough interior for us. I've got little man syndrome

                  PS, nice truck.

Understandable. Some people prefer to have a bunch of interior room ... I prefer to make do with a smaller truck. To each there own.

Thank ya, I love my truck.

Bought 2012 Tundra. Like it, 5.7 has a good power/torque. I get 18-19 hwy, and 15-16 city mpg.

I was going for the Taco, but decided to spend a few grand more and get into a full size.

                        This is pretty much true.

My boss bought a 2007 Tundra double cab new. He has 70K on it. Had to put an alternator on it recently. IMO, it rides rough as shit compared to my 06 F150 but his does have factory 20" so there is less tire sidewall than mine. He likes it but I'll ask him more specifics Tuesday.

I thought the frames were much stronger than that. I always wrried about teisting a fram when I jack a corner up or when driving on unlevel ground. There have been times when one of the tires would be off of the ground when we were out dring around uneven ground.
