I highly doubt any insurance company will deny local anesthetic like lidocaine for a procedure. Its generic and a cheap medication. Where are you getting your research studies at? They sound like complete bullshit to me. All the circumcisions I saw in school (10-12) used lidocaine to numb the skin like they do when you get sutures.

I am cut and so is my boy . I had a midwife do it with my help and was all over everything . She gave him a couple shots and he never so much as flinched . My thinking was that I know how to take care of mine so it would be easy to teach him . I have a nephew who is un cut and has had tons of trouble . You get to pick when its done and who does it so exercise your power . If you don't mind the ant eater look leave it .

The point Ive been making, any operation to a infant with no anesthesia can be mind altering. Would you allow say lung surgery on your kid with no anesthesia? Probly not, as for with out it, it the pain level would prob be so mind fucking the kid would never be the same.
    Harsh?

    Main Entry: mu·ti·late
    Pronunciation: \ˈmyü-tə-ˌlāt\
    Function: transitive verb
    Inflected Form(s): mu·ti·lat·ed; mu·ti·lat·ing
Etymology: Latin mutilatus, past participle of mutilare, from mutilus truncated, maimed
    Date: 1534
1 : to cut up or alter radically so as to make imperfect
2 : to cut off or permanently destroy a limb or essential part.

Seems fitting. Female circumcision is now referred to as Female Genital Mutilation and outlawed, as I'm sure will be the case with male circumcision in the future. I wouldn't allow another one of my children to be operated on without anesthesia...Then again, I'm also anti circumcision..

Also you just listed different methods, there is to many variables to be had that havent been fully taken into consideration either

    IMO
So, if you knew your son's genitals would be mutilated without anesthesia, would you still go through with it?
