  • 2014 LS7 Camaro?

Anyone else hear of this? Should be good comp for the modded 5.0/Boss crowd.

I am interested to see if this idea gets followed through with. The motor already has an engine code on the order sheet. Wished they were closer to 3500 lbs and not 4k.

That's what the article said there is hope for... Hopefully it'd be setup to handle like the ZL-1 but with the 427 instead of the LSA..

We know that for the 2014 model year, the high performance LS engines are going bye-bye for Corvette and in their place will be the new Generation 5 LT1 V8s. But that doesn’t mean GM is going to stop building the LS7 and LS9 engines for other applications. Thanks to some sleuthing at Camaro5.com, it

GM has to do something. The 5.0 DOHC motor was an LSwhatever killer since the first mustangs rolled off the lots a couple years ago (regarding the Camaro not Corvette). Since those are the two cars that have been entangled in the dick measuring for decades, it's fun to see GM finally having to say, "well shit now what do we do?"

My thought as well... I just hope they make it with the beefy auto from the ZL-1/CTSV...

Fucks autos. The Z06 doesn't come with it, I hope this doesn't either.

The 5.0 doesn't kill shit. GM is still making more power, in a more compact, lower cost package. The only thing hurting GM is the weight of their cars. Even down on power, and up on weight, every article I have read has said the ZL1 is a better track car than a GT500.

So what you are saying is the same old ""IF"" game. Hell what IF ford upped the cid to chevys 427. How much HP would 125 more cid make in the game.

How much time you spend on a track? Sure hate to think I was getting my ass drug on the street so I could say Im faster on a track.
