What exactly is locked away? I gave you the example of the didache, nothing is locked away there and it brings great insight to early christianity. If there were pieces locked away they would probably cement the vatican's positions, so why suppress it?

How about the apostolicon and the evangelicon, producing them would favor the vatican, not hurt it. As it is, anyone can claim what they consist of to the vatican's detriment. Even if most of one is contained in most modern versions of the bible....
