  • Do we have any members of the Sons of the American Revolution on here?

Finally have enough documentation, and the family tree together enough to get serious about submitting an application, though there has never been a question about my eligibility. Just curious if anyone else on here is in, because the paperwork side looks pretty confusing, and the local meetings take place on the Saturdays I have to work.

I know my mom and her parents were members. Family on her side came over in 1638.

I thought about it but hadn't really pursued it.

If I could find the research & family tree my dad had done, I could join DAR, but no one can locate it & I don't have time to research it right now. I'm pretty sure Christian's gma told me he could join SAR & whichever is the one for the south in the Civil War. He doesn't give a shit though.

What are the benefits of doing so? I'm pretty sure I remember my mother telling me I could apply for DAR.

I was also born in Concord. On Teddy Roosevelts birthday. In the Bicentennial year. Can you tell I'm into this stuff?
