Most agencies require at least 30. Plano frisco etc require a whole 4yr degree. But 60 hours is the norm. At least in the mid cities area. PACTTEST.com shows this areas requirements.

Exactly. Also if u have 2+ years LEO experiance too. Which to me is fair. Not a fan for college book smart kids with no common sense coming into police work. Bad combo. Seen it.

Some departments like Plano and grand prarie but that's it. Everywhere else is a high school diploma.

I actually did A LOT of looking into this one. Most departments in the metroplex require 60 hours of college credit but no degree. Plano and Arlington both require a BA. Dallas is the only option that requires the least, 45hrs of college, no degree.

So considering this, I thought about EMT/FF but was unsure of the process and what I needed as there were several options (opinions) out there.

Fuck that! No chance in hell I'd suggest him walking into another layoff heavy industry and company. I suspect yet another decent sized layoff in January for them next yet.
