We got a Mini Cooper about 3 months ago and still haven't received the registration. The dealership is working on it, and they said the hold up is the fact that they didnt realize the car was a demo and never been registered.
I have the Carfax but it doesnt show any titling information (so I would assume that it has not been titled before) but would like to confirm with Autocheck. If someone can hook it up, Id appreciate it. If not, we will just wait and see what happens.
Also, does anyone know if the vehicle in-service date for warranty starts when its sold to the first buyer, or if it starts when the cars starts getting driven. Stereotypically I believe it starts when the car is sold for the first time, but not sure since it was a demo.
