Those things were notorious rust buckets... rusted from inside the enclosed moncoque chassis panels, not much you could do either, for what ever reason, Detamso didn't think
any rust proofing was necessary on these cars.
This one doesn't mention anything about rust repairs in the ebay ad.. makes me wonder.

Didn't realize the engine had been replaced when I looked at it earlier. Lame.
As for affordable older high end cars, I'd consider getting an 80's Ferrari 328GTS. They can be had in nice shape for mid 30s these days.Comment
