That search went waaaaayyyyyy to far, IMHO.

I had to do a mental app on a young woman a few months ago. She was running down Main St. wearing a short skirt and a blazer. Nothing else.

She was saying that "they are trying to kill me" and when I tried to detain her she started screaming that I was Taliban.

When my guys got her to JPS, she was told to change into a gown by the nurse and the gal pulled a cell phone from her wahoo and threw it against the wall.

So, it is a common concealment place, but not one I'd check for "the smell of marijuana"..... That's just a bit too far.

Now if she was arrested on a charge and searched at jail, then it would have been proper.
