What really pisses me off here, is that this whole school was absolutely 100% defenseless. This country has guns. It has more than any other country in the world. I find it so incredibly irresponsible that there wasn't a single person in that entire building, with all of those children, that could defend them from this. That makes me so damn angry.

The Cops cannot protect you. It is rare that they are in a position to do so to begin with. In situations like this, they can only respond after the fact unless they are lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.

They need to bring back Public Hanging. Society needs to see the consequences of the actions of these people to deter future people who do this type shit. It's entirely pointless and ignorant. What is this to protect students from? Violence? Harm? How the fuck are you going to stop someone who is violent or wants to do harm? What's the plan if he gets IN the school?

Simple. There is none. There is no plan or preparation if someone wants to do harm to students when they are in the building. You're on your own.

This whole preparation thing for schools is ridiculous. All the doors are locked, all the ID's are checked... what the fuck is the point of any of this? Gunman rings doorbell, person beeps him in (because they have to in order to verify their ID), everyone gets killed until he gets tired of shooting. Does anyone else see a fundamental problem with this?

How about this scenario. Guy rings doorbell, person sees he's carrying a gun and he's crazy, they don't unlock the door. He shoots through the glass and everyone gets shot until he's tired of shooting. ??? How ignorant and stupid can you be. I understand schools are run by communist liberals, but let's get real here. This is ignorant irresponsible preparation. I don't care how left you are, don't you want your children to be protected?
