It's really easy to screw up opening up your own business (laziness, poor planning, unrealistic goals, etc) but I feel that will not be the case with you. You've wanted and planned this for a while.

        I'm happy for you friend

Good luck, man. It is insanely stressful at times, but just having the assurance that you're the top dog in your business helps to sleep at night. That is, when it's not keeping you up at night.

I know you'll do well. You have the skillset/mindset down. Just make sure you make people pay you for what you're worth.

Be sure and have the first dollar you make framed and oh, can I get your autograph before you get famous.

Another point, remember, try as you might, you can't please all the people all the time. Be prepared for the inevitable, "Brooks fucked up my (fill in the blank here) ". Everybody working on others cars gets it sooner or later.

                    You'll be fine.
Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

I could not think of a better person to start a business Brooks. Lots of good advice in this thread. Always work ethically and professionally and you'll do fine.

I did the same thing around 3 months ago (left my corporate America career to start my own company). So far it's going better than I could have ever imagined and I hope to be a customer of yours in the not-so-distant future, as long as those "top dollar" prices don't put an end to my turbo dreams...

Best of luck to you Brooks.
