Got my first gas bill. $100.55. seems a little on the high side since we keep the temp at around 70 at all times.

I do have a gas water heater. I did up the setting to "B" as it was set on "A".

that's the best reason to have gas
I don't know. My house has gas water heater, furnace, and fireplace, but electric stove. It doesn't make any fucking sense at all. I'll be correcting it when I get to my kitchen.

You only used 405 kWh in a 1600 sq ft house for an entire month? Are you just never home?

I happened to be rolling around under the oven the other day and found the gas outlet is plumbed for a gas oven.

They must have gone cheap on the appliances.

Mine is a drop in, with drawers underneath. It is possible that mine is plumbed, and there is a stub out behind the drawers. I just have not made it that far yet. Once I start pulling drawers out, the cabinets and counter come down. And I don't have the new cabinets yet.

Thats about our winter average in similar home.

Everything that can be is gas except the dryer. My total yearly average is under 120 month counting water. My a/c is 25 years old, furnace is 10. Pretty sad that my cable/internet bill is more. I'm about to fix the cable part though.

So far mine has been like this.

Actually only used 325kHw. And to blow your mind I used 298kWh the month before. Remember that is elec only no gas. I live alone except the dog. Water heater is on a timer and I never run out of hot water.

But also the temps last two months was perfect weather so AC was not running a lot.

This coming month for Jan and feb will back up since the heater running a lot.

I am home everyday by 3pm.
