When is it to late to sleep with your kid

So I saw the other thread about and I thought hmm..I guess I'll ask the question-

When is it to late to sleep with your kid? Not lay there while they fall asleep. Your kid sleeps in the SAME bed with you.

I don't sleep with my son because I re-married. According to my son (who never ever lies according to his mom) says he likes going to bed with mommy in mommy's room. "Mommy sometimes watches a scary movie before bed - and it gives me nightmares" - says my son.

So should I be concerned? Should I care?

they shouldn't be in your bed at all. But its almost impossible to do that. My son is 3 and sneaks in our bed at night and we have to figure out how to stop it. It is driving us nuts. he takes up too much room.

my son would sneak into our bed until he was about 6-1/2..he was smooth and would never wake us getting into the bed. he finally quit when i started telling all his friends at baseball practice he slept in his mom and dads bed lol

I disagree. when i was 5-6-7-8ish it was quite comforting to sleep in my parents bed after a nightmare. It made me feel loved and talked to me about my dream and explained why it wasnt real.
