  • I Need a Little Help with Company Website

I'm in no way trying to advertise on this site as everyone here already knows what I do for a living, but I need a little help and who better can critique than DFWmustangs.
Can I get you all here to please go visit our website and spend a few minutes looking it over? And then leave me a post on what you think I should do to help it to be better and more informative. I would greatly appreciate this. www.mccollumspainting.com

PAINTING - We don't start cutting corners here either. We use Sherwin Williams Exterior Super Satin Paint.
I would remove or change the highlighted sentence. Talk about the quality of the paint instead. As a consumer I don't know dick about paint so I'd rather hear about the quality of the product you do use, not just that it isn't crap.

Also using an aol e-mail address for a business is tacky imo. Set up a info@mccollumspainting.com or something like that.

I'm being picky though. Good job on the site.

Good page load time. Nice tabbed layout design. Comprehensive list of services. I don't see a problem. I might suggest using your domain name email instead of your aol. It adds a professional touch and is offered in every site builder or CPanel package I've ever used. Easy to set up to be used on any email client e.g., Exchange, Outlook, Live Mail, web based, etc..

We have thought about changing our email adress, but i'm not sure how we can do this without loosing years of customers that are use to contacting us with the aol address. Any thought on this will be helpful as well.

You should be able to set up the AOL account to forward to another account.

Maintain the aol address and set it to forward to your new e-mail address. Use the new one going forward. Due to some company name changes I have three e-mail addresses that all forward to my Outlook.

The description text below your banner/pictures is too small and hard to read. I'm no expert just my $.02.

Why not more contact info... hours of operation, address, etc. I also like to see websites that list the forms of payment accepted... I hate having to call and ask if a place takes AMEX.

I also think an About section would be nice... with more information about your history and employees.

We've been in business for over 26 years and our quality and craftsmanship is second to none!
I think that should be are second to none, rather than is, since you listed quality and craftsmanship. I'm not 100% on that though.

Since you asked, one more thing. You're missing a comma between offer and or.

For more information about the services we offer or if you would like a list of references, please send us an e-mail.

Set it up to CC your new email address, if you use any kind of client/contact management software to send out regular emails, make sure you notify them of the new email. Start sending all emails from the info@ account. It will eventually take hold.
