      Yeah, I've driven from Dallas to Chicago and back a multitude of times. It takes just as long to make that trip as it does one to El Paso.

        It just feels that way. I go west every other week (east each opposing week). It's 9 hours from Dallas to El Paso at 75-80. Of course, I can drive 1600 miles before refueling and can go 11+ hours without taking a piss.....so that helps
