Going further south fellas. Little less pay, little less vacation, but should be a lot better working enviornment, and shorter commute. Tired of chasing burglars, domestics, and robberies every day all day. We file around 6 county cases a shift in my department with five guys working. The department I am going to files about two a week. Plus they top out a hell of a lot better. No raise in 5 years where I am but everything else has went up. Now that the wife is out of school and making good money my options opened way up. Two of my friends went to the new department and love it, one went two years ago. Time will tell if the grass is really greener.
