Talk to the guys at Grapevine Ford.. I don't think any of the techs are on here but Purdy or Skip should be able to help you get what you need at a good price.

The only way to make the interior lights not come on when you open the door is to have the "police mode" setting in the ECM enabled. The previous owner must have had the dealership change this. After hours of research that is the only way to do it.

I need someone to disable this feature so that they come on when we open the doors.

I was hoping someone worked a little closer to home. Maybe I will just use taking the wife's truck to that dealer so I can "look" at a 2013 GT .

LOL, yes I have checked everything and narrowed it down to the ECM. The dome/courtesy lights work when you turn them on. They just don't come on when using the keypad to unlock the doors or open the doors.

On the pre-2011 there was a way to set this with the light switch... 2011 and after can only have this happen by changing the setting in the ECM. I was able to find out this information by doing a bunch of searching. Most of my research was because people where bitching that there was no way to turn the lights OFF when opening the doors... I want mine turned back ON lol.

Shouldn't this be covered under your factory warranty and any dealer fix it?

yeah, even if it isnt covered under warranty, it got to be an hour max to have a dealer do it. Its been a long time since I was at a dealer, but for dumb things like this I would walk up to the drive and do it right then and there.
