    It is early, but I say catastrophic elevator control failure. From what....who knows this early in the investigation.
    Going to be interesting to see what they come up with. Angle of impact and speed will slow things down quite a bit. Would love to see the mtc log books! Agree that at FL28, that bird wasn't close to it's flight envelope, BUT, what systems were operational, and what were placarded??? Age of the pilot isn't too concernable, unless he did have some health issues.

      Great points. Pure speculation at this point. MTC logs would be fun/telling. The aircraft was involved in a crash in Lubbock TX, in 2005. According to NTSB it sustained considerable damage.
