A burglar suspect -- who was caught in the act -- called 911 as he was being held at gunpoint by the homeowner of a Springtown residence.
The homeowner also called 911 to report the crime.
The suspect, Christopher Lance Moore, 41, of Bedford, was inside the house early Tuesday morning when he was surprised by the homeowner, Parker County sheriff officials said.
When asked what he was doing by the homeowner, the man answered, "Just unlucky, I guess," authorities said.
Moore then left the house and proceeded to get inside his pickup truck, where the homeowner confronted him -- with a gun, authorities said.
"The homeowner did call first," Parker County Sheriff Deputy Danie Huffman said Wednesday. "But he did have a gun on the suspect."
Parker County sheriff deputies arrived at the scene and arrested the 41-year-old Moore, who is expected to be charged with burglary of a habitation.
He remained in the Parker County Jail in Weatherford Wednesday in lieu of $35,000 bail.
The homeowner was not arrested.
The incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Lelon Lane in Springtown.
The 38-year-old homeowner, who authorities did not identify, told deputies and Springtown police that he and his wife woke up to a man wearing dark clothing and a hooded jacket standing in their bedroom.
The man hurriedly left the home and retreated toward his pickup, where the armed homeowner ordered him to stop. The man then got in his pickup, but the homeowner -- still holding a gun -- told the man to drop his keys, which he did. The man, sitting in the truck, called 911.
Authorities arrived a few minutes later.
In addition, the homeowner told deputies and police that he had asked the suspect what his intentions were inside of his home, and the suspect answered, "bad intentions."
