I doubt we'll be able to do anything more than a long weekend / road trip. Would be cool though.

At least I show up to work, don't return the wrong parts, don't take fake money, and deliver parts to the proper shops.

Good points. You left a basket of Gates hoses next the the Battery Rack though.

What about a cruise? Galveston isn't far away and it's a dirt cheap way to get out of the country. With a group of 20+ you can book private parties with an open bar for about $12 an hour per person on Carnival. With a big enough group you can negotiate open bar tabs for the entire cruise as well but I've never done it.

The new big ship starts celling (Carnival Magic) out of their in November. I'm planning on the Dec 4th sailing.

Guys, thoughts? I've never been on a Cruise. Always wanted to do an Alaskan one. Wouldn't require passports.

I might be in for this. If I can talk the wife into hanging out with some of you clowns. I'd vote for the Royal at Playa Del Carmen we went there on our honeymoon and she'd go back anytime.

I went there on my Honeymoon as well. Certainly do NOT want to go back for this trip.

Carnival's new "Big Ships" are nice but not as well thought out as they should be. We took the latest one (Carnival Dream) back in Sept. and were not too pleased with the long lines in some of the popular food stations, plus the floors would just stop and restart further down the ship (we were on the 11'th floor and had to take the elevator to 10, walk the hallway to the next elevator, back up to 11.
Were supposed to go to Eastern Carib but the hairucain blew that, so they re-routed to Western Carib, which is how we ended up in Belize. Not a bad gig (for Mexico) but Mary said that the Eastern "St Marrten, Thomas etc..) were better. Most of the port-of-calls we stopped at were WAY too commercialized. I was hoping to see some one legged Mexican boy carving dolphins out of iron wood but only found Wal-Martesque shops with prices that were twice as high as state side Wally's.

We hit Cozumel (decent with excellent dolphin swimming, average food, shopping was too commercialized),
Costa Maya (not much to talk about, shopping was "OK" I guess)
Belize (my favorite. Belize City was pretty hopping with plenty of bars and shopping, and the one place you can get "real" Cuban cigars. Food was pretty good and the local beer - Belikin - was awesome. Diving/Snorkeling on the second largest coral reef in the world there too.)
Isle of Roatan (Mahogany Bay beach was very nice but small. Shopping was decent but the rest of the island is very primitive, so don't wander off.

Cruises are cool. The only downside is how much alcohol would cost. We did the 5 day out of Galveston a few years ago and had a great time.

                              Rum runners FTW.

Mary & I stowed away several of these bladders worth of scotch and cognac.

Yeah, if only I could drink liquor. Chili could get by with that, but I can only drink beer.
