I have about 15% in stocks/bonds and the rest in medium/high risk and company stock (about 25%). Im considering moving the 15% elsewhere in my portfolio to potentially help my gains.

Bad move? Im only 24 so I figure I might as well since I have a long long time until retirement. Maybe move it but leave the future investment the same so it'll "replenish" the portion I removed?

    Thanks in advance

What's the outlook for the company? Assuming it's financially sound the mix you have right now sounds OK to me, but you might want to consider having a little less in the company stock portion.

The company is Allstate. I know you cant believe everything you read but what I have says the stock is going to trend up. 2010 gains were pretty decent in my portfolio from Allstate stock...

I'd leave it the way you have it then.

I would reallocate to dilute your company stock position, 25% is too much for my tastes. For any company. Then again, the size of the account matters and how it figures into your overall situation is important too, if this is a $100k account then the 25% position needs to be changed. If this account is worth $20K then it isn't such a hot issue.
