Thread derail.....if you have your dogs neutered, will that stop them from having a pissing contest in your house? I have a 1 yr old and 4year old chihuahua mutts. I'm about to get rid of them if we neuter them and they don't stop. I don't believe in leaving them in a cage outside all the time.

Use a tight rubber band around his balls bro. Then when the fall off, use something heavy and smash them in front of him and tell him, if he doesn't knock off the spraying piss, you'll crush him too bro.

If you get them fixed before territorial habits emerge, they are less likely to develop the habit. If you fix them after, there's a good chance they will continue with it, but somewhat less frequency.

I hate seeing people get rid of dogs because it doesn't fit their lifestyle, then has a new dog in 3 months after ditching the other dog. But I tell you, I'm just getting where we're a slave to them cleaning piss, I just don't want to live this way anymore.

We let them out a lot believe it or not, they just want to mark their spots it seems. I'm going to try the water thing starting tonight. We do have an outside cage that's like a mini dog run. They stay out there most of the day, then come in at dark. I suspect the pissing is in the middle of the night. The water trick and neutering hopefully will fix it. I don't want to divorce my dogs.

I don't want to get rid of the little asshole but if nuetering doesn't fix the problem,I just might have to. He hasn't pissed the living room and if that shit seeps into the wood, I'll lose it. I can't have my house smelling like I have 40 cats. I love all animals but I can't have that shit going on. He already ruined a $3500 livingroom set that was a little over a year old.
