Frigidaire will not get another fucking dime of my money.
At minimum Kenmore Elite.

Which could be possibly made by Frigidaire. Frigidaire has been the largest supplier of Kenmore products for a few years now. From what the appliance reps have said, Sears puts out bids for a SKU with features that they want on their product. Frigidaire, GE, Whirlpool and anyone else can put in their bid. Then Sears decides on which company to go with for that SKU.
Sears does back their products. After my $1200 Frigidaire bit the dust in 2 years and they told me to go pound sand, I went to sears where the warranty parts up to 15 years.

There is a Sears outlet where the kmart used to be at little rd, poly Webb, I 20 intersection in s Arlington. Also found to scratch n dent stuff at the Texas Appliance on pioneer pkwy in pantego in their back room. No set inventory at either.
I have had a Frigidaire for almost 11 years. Bought it at NT appliance on Pioneer in Arlington whe I moved in here. Ive replaced the ice maker once and havent had any other problems with it. Ill buy another one when this one eventually craps out
I've got two GE Profile Artica(s)... in stainless... counter depth. Constant problems with both of 'em since new. Stay far away from these models as possible.

My gf's parents have all GE shit in their house, and they hate it. The fridge is the worst. The icemaker is broken, the drawers don't slide very well at all, you have to make a real effort to make sure the door is shut every time, etc. Their microwave has the dumbest UI I've ever seen. The light doesn't work, even with a new bulb. The list goes on. I'll never own a GE product if I can help it.
We bought a Whirlpool french door when we moved into our house about 6 months ago. No big issues with it so far. My only complaint is I've pulled the handle off the freezer a few times. It fits over two knobs on the door and then slides to the right to "lock" on. Over time it works itself loose so I have to push it back over to "locked" every now and then. I'm not sure if that's a design flaw or something wrong with my handle though.

Weird, I have all GE and don't have any complaints after a year. If I were to get a different fridge it would be a samsung though, their ice makers suck but I love the rest of the fridge.

I have heard the same things he is referring to. I have been told a few times to stay away from GE.
