while speaking salaraies/unions the local im working out of now is 26.25/hr for 8 hours mon-fri, anything over 8 is time.5 saturdays are time.5 for 8 and double time after 8 hours, and sundays are double time for the first 8 triple after 8. so i work 40 hours at 26.25, 10 hours at $39.36, and 10 hours at $52.50..

the best part is, all profit, no student loans

and that's here in austin... kansas city scale starts at $34, utah is roughly $42, oregan, is $56, new york is roughly $80.. all per hour,straight time, respectively.

if you know how to turn a wrench and read a tape we are always looking for a good pipefitter. i know slow99 and alP got their shit figured out, but any of you young guys who dont wanna work black friday at walmart should hit me up and i can tell you who to contact. It's the same thing i told my brother, if i tell you where you can go make $30 an hour and you dont ask me for the number then you deserve to be broke.

We had to do a PLA with a few unions on a California water job. We didn't mind the pay rates so much because we just factored those into our bid. What pissed us off is how lazy and confrontational they were throughout the job. If you weren't watching them, they would barely work. On top of that, some of the asses would roll their big boats onto the job site and park off on the side. When asked why they towed their boat up to work, they'd make some BS excuse about needing to take it to the shop after work. It was obviously to show off.

It's sad when people can't get good paying jobs on their own merits and need a union to prop up their otherwise crappy life. Even more sad when they brag about it because it just reinforces the childish mentality that got them in the position of needing to join a union in the first place.

Motors are turned down to 900 h.p. each so fuel rate is about 120gph. Crank them up to 1250h.p. and you can cut that is half. Still runs on pump gas. Temp never gets above 160.
