well for the employee's sake, they need someone to speak up for them. no way your employer should make it mandatory that you have to come in on thanks giving day. youtube some of the video's of walmart black friday and tell me you would want to work that circus.

That said, holidays aren't a given or a guarantee. You don't want to work holidays? Get out of retail and service industries. It's really not that hard.

What? It's retail. They're open. It's never been a secret. No one is forcing them to do shit. If they don't like it, they can quit. If they need a job, they can show up when the employer needs them. They signed up for that kind of thing when they applied.

That's like you taking a job as a plumber and then saying you refuse to unclog toilets.
