Got into a wreck and the other insurance who is Geico is at fault. Car is worth about 8500K and likely will be totaled. Anyone on here have Geico and how much did you get back on your vehicle compared to the value

this afternoon most likely. They haven't given me final word that its totaled but everyone I've talked to says it will be.

I'm hoping the offer they give me is high enough to get a decent car

thats according to kelly blue book. its a 2007 scion tc with 108K miles. Only thing it really needed was new tires which I was going to take care of last week

I've been told its suggested that you go on autotrader or dealers website and find the 3 closest matching ones to your vehicle and get an average if they are way off offer to fax your findings to them and they will negotiate.

I dealt with them when I was rear ended by a Geico insured motorist about a year ago.

They pay pretty well and the first offer is never their highest. They compensated for the vehicle, time away from work, and added a bonus for signing a hold harmless agreement going forward.

I was told to be patient with them as they hate to carry open claims, and I think I drug them on much further than I needed to. Ultimately, it almost doubled their initial offer.

If you have the time and resources, I suggest doing the same.
