Would you buy a house someone died in?

Me and the ol lady are looking at a house. This house was built in the 1920's. We were told by the care taker of the home that in March 2007 there was a fire that killed the house owner, and his mother in a fire. Then we talked to the lady next door to the house and she said that in the 50's there was a murder in the house. A husband and his mistress killed by the man's wife. The murder is hear say at the moment but the two fire deaths are confirmed.

The house is super cool, and needs a LOT of work. We will have to gut the house. My question is, if we go sell this house, how bad will this affect the house value and how difficult will it be to sell?

I was looking at a house back in '07, it had been on the market for a good 6 months and there wasn't anything wrong with it. Did some digging and the selling agent admitted that there had been a murder/suicide in the home. Had it simply been a suicide, they had no duty to disclose it, but because of the murder, they did. From what I can tell, if the murder wasn't related to the condition of the house, i.e. a known defect, or a drive-by shooting that could place the new occupants in danger, they don't have to disclose. But I think generally they like to disclose the info prior to the neighbors doing it. I passed on the house, but I know that they were prepared to make steep concessions had I been interested.

Last lady that lived in my house had her older son die from huffing paint. My kids complained seeing some guy standing in their room in the middle of the night more than once. I see shadows all the time too.

I would no problem. Its like going to a hospital. Do you know how many people have died in that room you are in, bed you are laying on, etc. Dying is part of life. Who cares

its funny you say that. We dont know if we believe in ghost or not, but this house has every sign of being cursed or haunted.
