It needs a clear plastic covering for extreme mid century modern. Also neess a crystal ashtray on the flat peice. Or a bowl of m&ms and it would fit right in at my grandmothers.

I can't see the pics here, but one good point he has made to that.. Your guests are less likely to overstay their welcome!

We were looking at couches at store, and I sat on a couch that looked cool, but it was extremely uncomfortable. I told my wife I wouldnt buy a couch that I didnt want to sit in, and the salesperson said something like "this one wasnt made to be comfortable"

Some of it. The coffee table and the egg chairs are new. The Adrian Pearsall site had to take down their old catalog a few days ago because unauthorized knockoffs were starting to run rampant.

I've got a couple of badass ashtrays. The Vintage Freak posted a really cool one a few days ago that I've been eyeballing. I don't think the M&M's would be a good idea with a border collie puppy roaming around looking for trouble.

As for my back issues, this side of the living room is only used when I have company for the most part. Both egg chairs are actually perfectly comfortable, although the big enclosed one is a little low and difficult to get back out of. I almost ripped my guts out trying to get out of it after my vasectomy. The smaller open one reclines back.

I haven't sat on the couch long enough to know how comfortable it is, but I've got a couple atomic sputnik style pillows coming in from the UK to throw on it that should make it a little more comfortable. Under the long flat cushion are springs in the style of a bed, so you'd be surprised at how comfortable it is. It is considered a day bed/couch.

Thanks for the compliments. I've had fun putting this room together, and after a year and a half it is almost "done."

Eh, it's just expensive to build a house. Waiting for the planets to align on that one. Got the lot though.
