I'm better now. Mostly, anyway. Everyone has helped drag me out of the gutter when its gotten really bad. Just wish I could skip the next year of my life.

I've had my finger on the trigger a time or two, but i shall finish the game.

        Sorry for your loss, Yale.
May God give us strength and courage in the time of our darkest hours.

I've been at that edge, and recently, and it sucks. Hopefully in death he found whatever solace he was looking for. It will never make it easier on the people he left behind, that he didn't realize would miss him terribly.
I crossed that edge 12 years ago when I OD'd on pain meds. I'm lucky, and grateful that my parents called me and I was incoherent. They were able to get to me within 10 minutes, about the same time EMS arrived.

I am sorry to hear that this happened. I look back now, and even though I've been in some low points since, I'm glad that I went through them.

I dont know what it is you have been goin through, but I promise you that it gets better. This world can rip your heart out and pass it to the next in line to spite on it. Been there many a times.

Time will heal. Trust a old man.

Sorry about you friend Yale. I just wished for so many that they could see a little past the hurt.

Sorry to hear about this Yale. It is always shocking to hear about someone taking their own life, especially a person with their whole life in front of them.

Hate to hear that happened. But at least he did not take anyone else with him.

My ex step daughters boy friend researched how to kill himself at age 19. Got a helium bottler, gas mask and tied the rope to the closet curtain rod. The helium made him pass out and he leaned forward just enough to cut the air off. That way he did not pull the curtain rod down. Sad thing is ......his mother found him. He hid every knife in the house so she could not cut him down in case she found him too early. He had a son that was 9 months old too.

What an asshole! That poor kid didn't need that garbage put on him. His life will be a journey of trying to find the answer to a question he shouldn't have to answer.

Frankie Campagna, aka Frankie 45. He was an up and coming rockabilly artist here in Dallas. My little brother went to arts magnet with him, and before that, we just knew him from around the way (the Lakewood/East Dallas scene is pretty tight knit)... His dad is Dallas painter Frank Campagna. He was seriously a good kid, and a ton of fun to be around. I can't imagine what pushed him over the edge.

The e-mails began arriving in the Unfair Park in-box at around 10 this morning. They said: Frank Campagna has died, referring to the longtime muralist and beloved owner of the Kettle Art gallery in Deep Ellum. But, no. It was not Frank. It was his son, 24-year-old Frankie, frontman for...

Yea my bro just filled me in. He worked the shows that Frankie played in. He was there Friday night watching him play and he hung himself after the show.

                                Tough loss to all. RIP
