  • Had a friend commit suicide last night.

I just got the phone call from my brother. A kid I grew up with, and have known for 20 years, killed himself on NYE. I don't know any of the hows and whys for sure, but I'm hearing he hung himself. I honestly hadn't seen the guy in a long time. He was a big fixture in my little brother's circle of friends. I don't really have a point, other than it's a shock, and I've never thought about any of my friends killing themselves. I'm stunned with regret at the thought, even though it's too easy to say any of us would've helped him. I want to call everyone now, and make sure they're alright, and in a good place. I just want all my friends on this board to know, if you're ever down, and you need anything, don't let it go. You can dig out, and if you need help, ask, please!

    RIP, Frankie.

Ya for real, that's really sad stuff. Sometimes people don't see another way out. I'm very sorry to hear it though.
That MF'er is prolly so fast it would be like riding a big giant can of rape named bubba just outta prison set free in a girls college dorm.

Sorry that had to happen to you. When I was 18 my favorite cousin growing up who was the same age as me did the exact same thing. We will never know why..he left no note, called nobody that we know of beforehand, and gave no indication that anything was wrong. Its something I will never understand or get over. I miss him as much today as I did when I got the phone call. I'm sorry for your loss.

                    Sorry to hear about that.
I've lost 6 friends over the last 20 years do to them commiting suicide.
Most of the time you never see it coming but try and keep your eyes open with family and friends and question anything that remotely doesn't seem right.

Sorry to hear that Yale. Some times people can't see past what is immediately happening to them, or have had a string of bad luck for so long they don't think it is ever going to turn around. I've been at that edge, and recently, and it sucks. Hopefully in death he found whatever solace he was looking for. It will never make it easier on the people he left behind, that he didn't realize would miss him terribly.

Not to be dramatic, but if you ever need anything, you better call me.

That blows Yale. I've had several people I knew that ended. Last Jan a friend of mine managed to stick 2 rds in the back of his head. It sucks. It really is a BS way to handle an issue that leaves those left dealing with the pain.
