I must have missed his manifesto, if his actual reasons were the same. I just assumed he was doing it for the work / money for he and his family's future.

But yeah, if someone is going to just up and leave the country, vowing to never return, because "they don't like the way things are going", then they will lose my respect. That philosphy will only guarantee the failure of this country.

And let me clarify, I don't have any issue with those that choose to move / live / work elsewhere so they can see the world, gain experience, or to experience other cultures. It is purely the "Fuck the US I am leaving" part that I am so against.

I have no idea how to fix it at this point. The massive collection of organized chaos, as I see it, is too much for one person or a seemingly large group of people.

I could see Texas or a group of States seceding, but I don't see that happening.

The only thing I know for certain that I will able to do is tread water until the next civil war. Then I'll fight to the death for what I believe in and hope we win.

I am at work, so i cannot commit a bunch of time, but start by getting involved. Start at the local level in your community and build your way up to the national level if you choose. Start attending city council meetings and voice your opinion. Write you congressman. Rally your friends to do something..

So many people are so upset about one man that was elected and how he is going to ruin the country, well how about committing yourself to becoming that one man.

Hell, the OP is 24.. His whole adult life ahead of him. He comes from money (only meaning he has ties to the affluent). There is no reason why he could not end up as President one day.

I guess I am just sensitive given mine and my family's history. I hate the idea that so many have given so much only for others to just walk away.
