Anything on the East side of Dalrock is Rockwall County and Rockwall ISD.

Dalrock is named that as its the county line for Dallas and Rockwall.

I am north of 66 and East of Dalrock. Houses go for anywhere from 150 to 300 depending on which neighborhood it is. Most where built in the early to mid 90's.

No foundation problems at the house, but thats what a good sprinker system will take care.

We live in Garland now in a older neighborhood that is really nice. I love where we live & gonna hate leaving this house cause I love it & I love my neighbors & they love me. Which brings me to the thread topic. We are wanting to move to Rowlett off 66 cause its still Dallas County which keeps us out of her Ex husbands political connections since he is in the local politics in Rockwall.

I was talking to a fellow memeber yesterday & he said that Rowlett has a bad problem with the ground moving & that their are alot of foundation issues in Rowlett? Im curious if anyone that lives out there can back this up? We are wanting to buy & with so many kids we are gonna need at least a 5 bedroom house putting us near the 200k budget & dont want to buy in a area that has problems with foundations, I have tried talking her in to staying in Garland. But she cant stand the school District here & her & her ex husband want the kids in a better school district. I get it! But a house is the biggest investment we will ever make.
I own a house in Rowlett as of tonight.

I cant wait to move out of Garland this weekend!

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I live in Rowlett, have basically since '89. Some of that with the parentals.......

The house I own now was built in 1995. I haven't seen any type of foundation repair thorughout my neighborhood. They are all going to shift a little, but no cracks or doors that don't shut.

There are only a few places that are going to have 5 bedroom houses in Rowlett and most of those are semi-new, so I don't think you'll run into that issue. Waterview is pretty new, bigger houses........could be Rockwall County though. Toler Bay has bigger houses........but they are older, so foundations could be an issue.

Like most have said, it just depends on the neigborhood and how old the house is. But as far as the Town itself....it'll never get too big, the people are mostly friendly. I love it too.

I live there but house is too new for foundation problems to pop up yet. Lots of police always roaming around but that is their way of keeping the area safe. I live in Castle Hills and we have a few 5 bedroom homes, I think only 1 is up for sale right now.

My GP's live over in Lakeside Estates, that is a very nice neighborhood IMO. It is an early 90's neighborhood too so the trees are somewhat grown up.
