There are other minor differences, but those are the two headline-worthy changes.
The new in-dash screen is pretty badass as well...

So the new Ford line up is looking good for me.
true, and i agree with you. i just like my new truck

The Ram and F-150 (with the new engines) are just friggin killer. You really can't go wrong either way. Of course you get better mileage with the F-series (especially that incredible V6)....
The only problem with the Eco-Boost V6 is going to be the price. I have a feeling it will end up costing just as much as any diesel on the market.

I'm very interested in the EcoBoost, but I'm not paying any dealer mark-up for it, that's for damn sure. I don't know if all the hype will sell the engines or not. For everyone on the bandwagon, there are 5 naysayers spouting "there's no replacement for displacement".
And if there is a mark-up, it won't last long. There's always a bum-rush when a product is hyped this much. Hell, think back to the PT Cruiser. Look at the ridiculous amounts people were paying for those stupid little cars. We may see a few suckers pay a premium for the EB, but I'm doubtful. And for that matter, have you seen the price for the Powerstroke? It's like $6,000!! I don't see the EB drawing a $6k+ dealer markup. No way.
I, like many others, am waiting on pins and needles to see what the 'official' mpg numbers are for the EB. I know there were people achieving high 20's at the Drive F150 event at TMS in July (I think), even two reporters that achieved over 30 (one got 32.6 mpg). Will we achieve that in real-world driving, hell no. But I for one would be pretty stoked with low 20's for mixed city/hwy driving.
We'll see......Last edited by TX_92_Notch; 01-02-2011, 10:51 PM.

The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 will carry a $750 premium over the 5.0 and the 6.2-liter V-8 will carry a $1,995 premium over the 5.0.

Still loving my 2010 as well....just rolled 5000 miles yesterday. It is by far the nicest truck I have ever owned....for that matter probably one of the nicest vehicles I've owned. My only complaint is the MPG, it's not terrible but certainly could be better. It generally averages around 15mpg but I've gotten as little as 13 out of a tank (did some towing on that one though, but not for the entire tank), and best was right at 17 with an all hwy trip using the cruise a lot. The overhead display is way more optimistic than my math. I'm not hard on it, but I'm not one to drive around always thinking of getting the most efficient mileage either. However, as far as the power goes, I just don't agree that these ending 5.4 trucks are turds....it has plenty of power for everything I've done so far, and it gets down the road real well when you lay into it. I've also towed my car trailer (loaded) a couple times, and no complaints there either....hell it still accelerated real well getting onto 35W with the Chevelle strapped on a month or so ago. I'm not arguing that the 5.0's aren't quicker, I'm sure they are....but at the same time, the last couple years of the 5.4 were no dogs either.70' Chevelle RagTop
