I went to one for the first time today after buying one of those groupon type deals. It was for an initial "exam" and a massage (sorry, no rub and tug). It was a damn good price just for the deep tissue massage alone.
So, pre-rub, the chiro asks me some questions what ailments I may or may not have and has me lie down on the table and lightly presses certain areas on my spine and says that there is definitely some "stuff" going on and I would need to get x-rays to further determine what that "stuff" is and what the course of action would be. I can understand that, but what I'm having difficulty with is how he can tell "stuff" is going on with about 30 seconds of what seemed to me too little pressure to tell anything.
Maybe he's just that good, or maybe he was more interested in persuading me to get x-rays as soon as possible to earn a new customer. Heck of a nice guy, just not sure if I'm buying it.

My chiro rocks and is an awesome guy. He has never upsold me anything. I went a few times for some elbow and back issues, now that everything seems better, he told me to make an appointment when I think I need an adjustment, but no need to schedule a regular visit unless I thought I needed it.
