I guess I have been fortunate over the years if this is the worst though.
My wife is from Temple, TX so we drove down to Killeen to see her father last night. We leave the house about 5:30 and we hit the rode with very little traffic. Which was cool, since 35 is usually a pain in the ass. We realize along the ways we forget the babies bed, and our pillows. No big deal though, we can live with that.
We get to about Waco and the battery light comes on. We stop at vatozone and quickly find out the alternator is dead. So I get the alternator, and of course the zone is closing in 20 minutes and I am in front of the store swapping it out. And of course, the lights get turned off, so I am out there in the dark. No big deal, I get it on in about an hour, and we are on the road.
We get to her dads around 10 and finish out the night as usual. Just a little messy. We go to bed, and around 6, the baby starts crying. I get up to get a bottle for him, and sure enough, I open the fridge and a fairly expensive looking plate falls out and shatters. Damn, my father in laws wife will be mad, but whatever, all I did was open the fridge.
We get back to sleep, and we wake up the next morning and my wife starts to cook some food. The mother in law wakes up in a shitty mood and starts talking shit to my wife, who in turn talks shit back. After a few minutes of yelling we get them broke up and I tell the wife to get the shit together, we are leaving.
And of course, while I am outside throwing stuff in the Expedition, the MIL goes back into the room with my wife and they start having a knock down drag out fight. We get them seperated and hit the road as quick as we can.
So long story short:
bad alternator changed in the middle of the night
I left out we had no dinner
Wife and MIL have an audition for UFC
Great New Years!!! Can't wait for next year.
