  • Stop enforcing the law assholes!

So last night I was headed to Aubrey,TX going up the tollway when I got pulled over for speeding. I was doing 80 in a 70 when came over the hill and saw him. It was a classic hiding over the hill and the second I saw his brake light from him about to put it in gear and slowed down and pulled over in front of him. He only had to pull about 100 yards forward.

He came to my passenger window, I was very polite to him and that asshole was polite back. THE NERVE. He didn't even give me a speeding ticket, but a ticket for failure to change address on my drivers licence(a fix-it ticket). These bastards must be stopped! I will have hell to raise if I dont get the fix-it ticket fixed in time and they want to charge me money!

why did you tell him you dont live at that address anymore? It's not like he can verify it. Just say ya i do, or no officer, I moved 3 days ago.

The address on my licence is different than the cars registration (which he has access to) and my insurance card(which he had in the other hand.) Why lie to him? Best way to piss a state trooper off is to lie to him.

"Sir, yes Sir, I screwed up Sir. I'll get that rectified ASAP! Thank you for your understanding Sir and I hope you have an uneventful night!"

A Trooper graced me with about the same situation on my way back from Lubbock after the UT/TT football game. Caught me red handed outside of Abilene doing 85 in a 70. He asked my Daughter who she wanted to win the game and she responded with "The Longhorns, of course." (My Daughter is 6.) He said "Little Lady, you just made your Daddy's day. Sir, please watch your speed, this here is a future Longhorn. She needs to get to UT in a couple of years. Have a great day Sir and Ma'am, you keep your Daddy from speeding." To that she responded "Yes Sir!" And gave me a go to hell look I'll never forget. (Again, she's 6.) Gotta love a Trooper who is more than situationally aware!

Not even close. If that wasn't the issue then what "math" did they/I suck at?

No, that was it. Your daughter won't be a Longhorn in a couple of years.
