  • Are Kia Optima a POS or a good car

We were looking at a brand new Kia Optima SXL and they seem really nice super tricked out and much nicer than allot of cars just think that years ago KIA meant junk pretty much. I have looked over reviews online and several people say they are nicer than the BMW 3 series so any one that has one please let me know what you think of them.

They're ok for the price, but after you drive one for while you can start to tell why they cost less. Cheap interior, kind of noisy, just kind of low quality over all. If you're not picky about stuff like that it's a good buy. Anyone who says they're nicer than a BMW 3 series is mentally handicapped.

Kia and Hyundai = Imports for people with bad credit.

That used to be the case, but those two car companies have really come along. I'd buy one of those over a Honda or Nissan, and anything made by GM.

is is becoming more and more true. They learned from Honda well, come in and offer cheap cars and steadily get nicer and higher quiality.

Both my mom and sister have 2011 Sorrento's. My sister says she's had to take hers back for electrical issues 3-4 times and my mom has had no problems. I've driven my mom's to Longview and back and it's not a bad little suv. Hard to argue with a 100k powertrain warranty.

...and they even have a V8, which is pretty impressive.

They look good, but everyone I've driven for rentals/etc have one problem that I can't get past. I can't remember the term...etc...etc, but go down the highway or a road and quickly move the wheel left/right a little. The body and chassis do not go the same way and it freaks me out.

I've considered them, but if that exists I can imagine after a few years there being numerous other problems.

What a piece of shit, Kia? Are you a joker or what? Honda, Toyota, kia are all shit. When a hail storm comes through, whose car is fucked up the most? The foreign garbage use paper thin metal for their cars. Everything feels very cheap.

I have seen Chevy's and Fords in just as bad shape as Honda's and Toyota's....

Body roll. EVerycar suffers from it. I upgraded my Stang's swaybars to combat the stock body roll.

Guy at work bought a fully loaded Optima for his wife. It's a VERY nice car. Very comfortable seats high quality interior (better than any GM I'd ever sat in) great sound system, ect, ect. If you put me in there with no badging anywhere on the interior I would have swore it was another make.

This isn't the KIA of years ago when they were making cheap ass ecno boxes that were basically just an engine and some wheels. They're following the Japanese model and doing it well.

Hell the Hyundai Genesis Coupe with the 3.8 or the turbo 4 cylinder are some very fun cars to drive. I almost bought one.
