I just got an awesome job offer I've been working for the past few weeks!!
I've been a non-exempt contractor for my job for the past 2 years. I'm basically at the bottom of the barrel when it comes time for lay offs, I don't get paid holidays or PTO. I just received the call at lunch from the VP of the corp I'll be working for and they offered me a 17% raise, benefits, and grandfathered my time at my current spot for PTO. WHOOP!!
Sorry to gloat due to the unfortunate people but I've worked my ass off to get here. Party on!
