He is eating on his own and is absolutely thrilled to see the girls when they come in the room. They don't think he'll need the transfusion, but they're monitoring his blood counts. If all goes well, he comes home tomorrow. They're trying to keep him calm and forcing rest, but he's bouncing off the walls.

No peanut butter. He's been too busy humping any girl dog that he comes across. ;-)

Oh, just read about the poison. Glad he's doing better. I'd like to think that he got into something during his short time as a stray and someone isn't fucked up enough to poison him.

He wasn't a stray for long. Robert watched him get dumped, and he's been with us since.

Oh damn. Bastards. Can't understand why they would do this when it takes hardly any effort to find a home for dogs like that.

The kicker is that he is such a great dog. He has a couple of bad habits, but he's playful when it's playtime, and he's calm and just wants to be near someone, loving on them when it's time to settle down.

I just left the vet. He was very happy to see me and cried terribly when I left. Doc says he'll be fine. He's off the IV and won't need blood. They still want him quiet and want to watch him through the night, but he'll come home tomorrow with maintenance meds for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, they'll check his vitamin k production, and either continue it or clear him entirely. He cried so loud when I left. :-(
