  • Where can I find a good used engine in Dallas today?

My brother and I are doing an engine swap on a Econoline Van and I need to find a used 5.4L for it. I'm trying to get the engine today so we can get the van out of our driveway by this weekend.

Anyone know of a good company that I could find an engine at today in the Dallas area?

    Thanks,
    Chris

I've never used these guys but I work right down the street from a placed called City Motor Supply. Looks like they rebuild engines.

Thanks for all the replies guys. The owner of the van wants a used engine for around $1,500. Some of those places selling reman engines are asking close to $3k. I also called LKQ and all they have is reman engines.

I called them and they didn't have any in stock. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Thanks again everyone for all the help, I finally convinced this guy to go with a reman engine. It's his work van and he needs it to last a while, I told him that'd be the best route.
