a local 1 journeyman plumbers rate is now $51.76 per hour , plus medical benefits, and 401 k contributions as well as other contributions to different funds. Total package is around $100.00 per hour , but only $51.76 per hour is in the envelope

ahem, $51.76/hr for a plumber.. tack on a per diem and hazard pay you are pringing closer to $80/hr

achoo achoo. I will have my name on a list to go up there, you can bet your sweet asses!

              • I keep thinking of all the vermin that may travel south to us like we saw with Katrina. I hope I am wrong, but given the growth in Texas and our economy being better than a lot of places, I could certainly see a lot more yankees headed this way.

It can't be any worse than the Califorincators that have been invading Texas for the past few decades.

Alive and well, camped out in the upper west side at the GF's place. My place in Chelsea lots power, along w/ everything else below 34th or so. Thanks for asking!

lower manhattan is a wreck, I might do a recon run down there for pics/video tomorrow/weekend.

                            • As I understand it from most of my family, this has been a little worst than a strong storm that they are used to. Flooding is something most are used too as well. A lot of them did not even lose power. My Dad out in the sticks is out for about a week, but he always has plans for that.

Seems a long the coast was pretty bad though.
